The number of active job postings in the Construction sector of Germany decreased by 2.74% MoM, and decreased by 5.25% since October 2023, reaching 14,496 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,158 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.31% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,567 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 8.84% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 7.38% and the number of jobs closed increased by 43.65%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 2.52%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.78% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 12.83%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,349, number of jobs closed stood at 2,414 and number of active jobs stood at 15,004.
