The number of active job postings in the Construction sector of Singapore decreased by 14.34% MoM, and decreased by 23.67% since October 2023, reaching 932 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 140 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 33.96% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 296 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 1.02% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 65.35% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 32.57%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 29.76%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.61% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 12.31%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 267, number of jobs closed stood at 348 and number of active jobs stood at 1,102.
