In the LTM period, September 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $700.5 million, resulting in an average deal value of $41.2 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of January 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 40 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $6.3 million during that month.
Of the 255 deals, the deal secured between Advent International Corp and Eureka Forbes Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the India Consumer sector, which was valued at $597.1 million and was completed on September 19, 2021. The second-largest deal was between GIC Pte Ltd and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between National Investment and Infrastructure Fund; Premji Invest and BrainBees Solutions Pvt Ltd. The GIC Pte Ltd-Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd deal and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund; Premji Invest-BrainBees Solutions Pvt Ltd deal were valued at $296.5 million and $240.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Bay Capital Pte. Ltd.; Chiratae Ventures; Falcon Edge Capital, LP; Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd-Lenskart Solutions Pvt Ltd valued at $220.0 million, whereas the deal between INGKA Holding BV; Jungle Ventures Pte Ltd; KKR & Co. L.L.C.; Peugeot Investments; Venturi Partners-Home Interior Designs E-commerce Pvt Ltd valued at $180.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $1,533.6 million and accounted for nearly 37.49% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
