The number of active job postings in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector of the Middle East and Africa region decreased by 18.72% MoM, and decreased by 36.17% since October 2023, reaching 1,867 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,048 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 1.75% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,478 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.22% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 32.86% and the number of jobs closed increased by 9.48%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 12.44%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 13.9% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 3.07%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,247, number of jobs closed stood at 1,459 and number of active jobs stood at 2,424.
