France: ESG Related Job Trends in the Financial Services Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active ESG related job postings in the Financial Services sector of France decreased by 34.12% MoM, and decreased by 52.37% since October 2023, reaching 392 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 222 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 13.62% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 425 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 5.76% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 26.73% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 75.62%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.85%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 21.9% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 20.65%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 274, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 367 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 649.
