The number of active job postings in the Financial Services sector of Hong Kong decreased by 11.02% MoM, and decreased by 17.42% since October 2023, reaching 2,793 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 757 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 11.67% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,103 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.19% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 0.4% and the number of jobs closed increased by 22.56%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 0.13%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.18% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 7.01%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 827, number of jobs closed stood at 1,011 and number of active jobs stood at 3,149.
