Hungary: Job Trends in the Banking and Payments Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Banking and Payments sector of Hungary decreased by 19.17% MoM, and decreased by 34.91% since October 2023, reaching 565 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 250 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 35.87% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 384 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 22.29% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 37.66% and the number of jobs closed increased by 81.99%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 14.57%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 13.34% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 22.09%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 270, number of jobs closed stood at 299 and number of active jobs stood at 740.
