The number of active Technology related job postings in the Financial Services sector of Malaysia decreased by 11.38% MoM, and decreased by 17.24% since October 2023, reaching 1,176 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 271 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 9.06% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 422 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 20.92% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted decreased by 23.66% and the number of Technology related jobs closed decreased by 11.72%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 8.61%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.11% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 4.07%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Technology related jobs posted stood at 306, number of Technology related jobs closed stood at 398 and number of active Technology related jobs stood at 1,325.
