A total of 81 Equity Offering deals (pending and completed) were announced in the Financial Services of United Kingdom, in the last twelve months resulting in a total deal value of over $5,951.3 million. In the LTM period, July 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $1,500.8 million, resulting in an average deal value of $136.4 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of April 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 16 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $3.9 million during that month.
Of the 81 deals, the deal secured between Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and The Renewables Infrastructure Group Ltd, was the largest Equity Offering deal in the United Kingdom Financial Services sector, which was valued at $366.9 million and was completed on March 24, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Wafra Capital Partners Inc. and ESF Capital, while the third-largest deal was between Intesa Sanpaolo SpA and Thought Machine Group Ltd. The Wafra Capital Partners Inc.-ESF Capital deal and the Intesa Sanpaolo SpA-Thought Machine Group Ltd deal were valued at $223.0 million and $54.2 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Ruth Parasol DeLeon-Recognise Bank Limited valued at $19.1 million, whereas the deal between Max Barney Investments Limited; Parasol V27 Limited-City of London Group PLC valued at $15.5 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $678.7 million and accounted for nearly 11.40% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
