Vietnam: Job Trends in the Banking and Payments Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Banking and Payments sector of Vietnam decreased by 11.57% MoM, and decreased by 14.79% since October 2023, reaching 2,385 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 836 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 31.45% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,148 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 27.13% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 18.25% and the number of jobs closed increased by 79.1%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 5.75%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.2% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 21.44%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 779, number of jobs closed stood at 866 and number of active jobs stood at 2,711.
