Asia-Pacific: Job Trends in the Foodservice Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Foodservice sector of the Asia-Pacific region increased by 2.47% MoM, and increased by 0.5% since October 2023, reaching 12,320 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 3,834 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 12.76% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,537 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 29.49% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 26.72% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 60.64%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.84%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 0.17% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 26.71%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 4,495, number of jobs closed stood at 5,418 and number of active jobs stood at 12,560.
