The number of active job postings in the Foodservice sector of Canada increased by 1.34% MoM, and decreased by 25.74% since October 2023, reaching 5,076 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 235 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 150% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 168 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 75.51% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 82.72% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 89.95%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 44.3%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.44% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 53.5%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 584, number of jobs closed stood at 1,102 and number of active jobs stood at 5,630.
