Europe: Job Trends in the Foodservice Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Foodservice sector of the Europe region decreased by 0.59% MoM, and decreased by 1.25% since October 2023, reaching 14,588 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 50,677 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.3% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 50,763 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 14.16% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 146.9% and the number of jobs closed increased by 124.31%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 35.16%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 0.42% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 30.9%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 47,096, number of jobs closed stood at 47,668 and number of active jobs stood at 15,338.
