Germany: Job Trends in the Foodservice Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Foodservice sector of Germany decreased by 2.97% MoM, and increased by 17.32% since October 2023, reaching 1,111 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 3,502 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.8% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,536 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 11.8% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 145.93% and the number of jobs closed increased by 106.78%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 34.98%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 5.47% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 27.4%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 3,325, number of jobs closed stood at 3,356 and number of active jobs stood at 1,107.
