North America: Job Trends in the Foodservice Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Foodservice sector of the North America region decreased by 2.66% MoM, and decreased by 8.5% since October 2023, reaching 119,578 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 51,381 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 6.02% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 54,655 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 4.68% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 7.13% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 23.68%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 2.43%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 2.92% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 8.61%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 54,727, number of jobs closed stood at 61,577 and number of active jobs stood at 124,658.
