The number of active job postings in the Government and Non-Profit Organisations sector of the Asia-Pacific region decreased by 1.89% MoM, and decreased by 25.53% since October 2023, reaching 15,430 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,317 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 22.95% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,615 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 35.27% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 76.27% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 68.54%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 38.09%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.36% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 31.98%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 5,807, number of jobs closed stood at 6,765 and number of active jobs stood at 17,159.
