The number of active ESG related job postings driven by ESG in the Government and Non-Profit Organisations sector of the Europe region decreased by 6.68% MoM, and decreased by 21.48% since October 2023, reaching 2,054 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,050 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 24.95% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,197 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 30.73% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 56.67% and the number of ESG related jobs closed decreased by 49.9%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 24.33%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.75% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 20.57%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 1,626, the average number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 1,758 and the average number of active ESG related jobs stood at 2,350.
