The number of active job postings in the Government and Non-Profit Organisations sector of the Europe region increased by 0.71% MoM, and decreased by 20.54% since October 2023, reaching 5,672 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,488 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 32.1% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,448 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 53.59% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 57.22% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 55.77%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 24.65%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.38% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 23.81%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 4,120, number of jobs closed stood at 4,417 and number of active jobs stood at 6,421.
