Brazil: Job Trends in the Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare sector of Brazil decreased by 13.94% MoM, and decreased by 37.71% since October 2023, reaching 1,315 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 821 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 8.47% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,034 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 6.93% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 53.01% and the number of jobs closed increased by 20.65%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 22.25%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 14.6% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 6.46%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 1,099, number of jobs closed stood at 1,076 and number of active jobs stood at 1,638.
