China: ESG Related Job Trends in the Pharmaceuticals Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active ESG related job postings in the Pharmaceuticals sector of China decreased by 5.44% MoM, and increased by 23.44% since October 2023, reaching 574 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 354 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 8.53% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 387 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 11.64% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 119.88% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 152.94%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 30.03%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a growth rate of 7.27% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 36.25%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 319, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 290 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 576.
