China: Job Trends in the Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Sector (October 2023 - January 2024)

The number of active job postings in the Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare sector of China decreased by 26.49% MoM, and decreased by 18.39% since October 2023, reaching 10,689 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,502 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 14.78% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 6,353 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 147.39% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 65.04% and the number of jobs closed increased by 353.79%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 18.18%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.55% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 65.56%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,420, number of jobs closed stood at 2,993 and number of active jobs stood at 13,124.
