The second-largest deal was between Advent International Corp; Agnafit Bidco AB; Aurora Investment Pte Ltd; GIC Pte Ltd and Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB, while the third-largest deal was between Partners Group AG and Pharmathen S.A.. The Advent International Corp; Agnafit Bidco AB; Aurora Investment Pte Ltd; GIC Pte Ltd-Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB deal and the Partners Group AG-Pharmathen S.A. deal were valued at $8,047.6 million and $1,888.7 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between CBC Group-Hugel Inc valued at $1,500.0 million, whereas the deal between Patient Square Capital LP-Summit Behavioral Healthcare LLC valued at $1,300.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $21,236.4 million and accounted for nearly 26.41% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 55.40% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $44,544.9 million, which accounted for 59.41% of the total deal size on a global scale.
