The second-largest deal was between Itochu Corp; Japan Industrial Partners Inc and Hitachi Construction Machinery Co Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Blackstone Inc and Interplex Holdings Ltd.. The Itochu Corp; Japan Industrial Partners Inc-Hitachi Construction Machinery Co Ltd deal and the Blackstone Inc-Interplex Holdings Ltd. deal were valued at $1,738.0 million and $1,600.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company-Olam Agri Holdings Pte Ltd valued at $1,240.0 million, whereas the deal between Beijing Guanghe Confluence New Energy Technology Enterprise Ltd; China Life Insurance Co Ltd; CITIC Securities Co Ltd; Guohua Military and Civil Integration Industrial Development Fund Management Co Ltd; Sichuan Energy Investment Development Co Ltd; Zheneng Electric Power Co Ltd; Zhuhai Deqing Hengda Investment Partnership No 3-China National Nuclear Huineng Co Ltd valued at $1,115.3 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $18,547.2 million and accounted for nearly 62.76% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 44.35% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 10.66% of the total deal size on a global scale.
