The number of active job postings in the Industrial Goods and Machinery sector of the Asia-Pacific region decreased by 7.04% MoM, and decreased by 3.18% since October 2023, reaching 15,705 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 4,047 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 16.88% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 5,237 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 12.58% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 6.28% and the number of jobs closed increased by 24.01%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 2.14%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.07% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 7.44%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 4,528, number of jobs closed stood at 4,633 and number of active jobs stood at 16,374.
