The number of active ESG related job postings in the Industrial Goods and Machinery sector of Australia decreased by 8.45% MoM, and decreased by 18.55% since October 2023, reaching 650 active job postings in January 2024
A total of 264 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 15.79% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 324 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.2% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted increased by 8.2% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 66.15%.
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a growth rate of 2.66%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.61% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 18.44%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 257, number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 282 and number of active ESG related jobs stood at 733.
