The number of active job postings in the Industrial Goods and Machinery sector of Belgium decreased by 11.86% MoM, and decreased by 22.1% since October 2023, reaching 617 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 76 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 11.63% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 159 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 17.62% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 64.65% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 26.39%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 29.29%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.99% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 9.71%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 144, number of jobs closed stood at 188 and number of active jobs stood at 729.
