The number of active job postings in the Industrial Goods and Machinery sector of the Europe region decreased by 9.87% MoM, and decreased by 13.9% since October 2023, reaching 29,712 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 5,311 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 13.61% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 8,566 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 10.39% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 39.69% and the number of jobs closed increased by 3.96%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 15.51%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.87% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 1.3%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 7,398, number of jobs closed stood at 8,456 and number of active jobs stood at 32,942.
