The number of active job postings in the Industrial Goods and Machinery sector of Germany decreased by 10.76% MoM, and decreased by 22.37% since October 2023, reaching 7,743 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 1,187 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 29.93% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,121 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 15.7% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 56.65% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 10.62%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 24.32%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.09% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 3.67%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,069, number of jobs closed stood at 2,535 and number of active jobs stood at 8,973.
