The number of active job postings in the Industrial Goods and Machinery sector of China decreased by 7.18% MoM, and increased by 4.81% since October 2023, reaching 5,880 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 681 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 52.51% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 1,136 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 28.65% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 5.68% and the number of jobs closed increased by 57.56%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 1.93%, the number of active job postings observed a growth rate of 1.58% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 16.36%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 959, number of jobs closed stood at 891 and number of active jobs stood at 5,902.
