Of the 70 deals, the deal secured between Alphabet Inc and Bharti Airtel Ltd, was the largest M&A deal in the Asia-Pacific driven by Cloud, which was valued at $700.0 million and was completed on January 28, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Solera Holdings Inc and Infomedia Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between Aussie Broadband Pty., Ltd. and Over the Wire Holdings Ltd. The Solera Holdings Inc-Infomedia Ltd deal and the Aussie Broadband Pty., Ltd.-Over the Wire Holdings Ltd deal were valued at $443.0 million and $266.1 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Tencent Cloud Europe BV-Flipkart Internet Pvt Ltd valued at $264.0 million, whereas the deal between NCS Pte Ltd-Arq Group Enterprise Pty Ltd valued at $217.9 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $1,891.0 million and accounted for nearly 3.35% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 23.84% of the total M&A deals done globally, and accounted for 25.83% of the total deal size on a global scale.
