Of the 576 deals, the deal secured between D1 Capital Partners; DST Global; Falcon Edge India; Footpath Ventures; RedBird Capital Partners LLC; Tiger Global Management LLC; TPG Capital LP and Sporta Technologies Pvt Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Asia-Pacific driven by Digitalization, which was valued at $840.0 million and was completed on November 24, 2021. The second-largest deal was between BlackRock Inc; Sumeru Ventures; Vitruvian Partners LLC and Think and Learn Pvt Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between ARK Impact Asset Management Inc.; Axis Growth Avenues AIF- I; Baron Capital Group, Inc.; Falcon Edge Capital, LP; Ghisallo Partners LP; IIFL AMC Late Stage Tech Fund; Invesco Ltd; Kotak; Prosus Ventures; Qatar Investment Authority; Segantii Capital Management Limited; Sixteenth Street Capital Pte. Ltd.; Smile Group; Sumeru Venture Partners and Bundl Technologies Private Ltd. The fourth-largest deal was between Accel; Bertelsmann India Investments; Chan Zuckerberg Initiative LLC; Leeds Illuminate; Prosus NV; Sequoia Capital India; SoftBank Vision Fund II-EMERITUS Institute of Management Pte. Ltd. valued at $650.0 million, whereas the deal between Macquarie Asia Pacific Infrastructure Fund 3; PSP INVESTMENTS-Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia Pte Ltd valued at $610.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $3,600.0 million and accounted for nearly 17.93% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for 18.94% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 27.77% of the total deal size on a global scale.
