The number of active Cybersecurity related job postings in Australia driven by Cybersecurity decreased by 3.81% MoM, and decreased by 16.37% since October 2023, reaching 1,589 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 608 new Cybersecurity related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.19% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 671 Cybersecurity related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 25.03% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Cybersecurity related jobs posted decreased by 21.04% and the number of Cybersecurity related jobs closed decreased by 19.54%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Cybersecurity related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 7.57%, the number of active Cybersecurity related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.78% and the number of Cybersecurity related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 6.99%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Cybersecurity related jobs posted stood at 738, the average number of Cybersecurity related jobs closed stood at 832 and the average number of active Cybersecurity related jobs stood at 1,752.
