The number of active job postings in Austria decreased by 4.99% MoM, and decreased by 16.17% since October 2023, reaching 14,109 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,231 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.97% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 2,972 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 12.87% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 26.78% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 23.03%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 9.87%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.71% and the number of jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 8.35%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 2,709, number of jobs closed stood at 3,593 and number of active jobs stood at 15,386.
