The number of active job postings in Belgium decreased by 16.03% MoM, and decreased by 21.88% since October 2023, reaching 12,426 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,317 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 28.8% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 4,689 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 9.61% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 56.08% and the number of jobs closed increased by 2%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 23.98%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 7.9% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 0.66%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 3,646, number of jobs closed stood at 4,346 and number of active jobs stood at 14,738.
