The number of active Internet of Things related job postings in Canada driven by Internet of Things increased by 1.22% MoM, and decreased by 6.94% since October 2023, reaching 992 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 308 new Internet of Things related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 24.7% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 296 Internet of Things related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 29.52% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted decreased by 2.22% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed decreased by 13.2%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Internet of Things related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 0.75%, the number of active Internet of Things related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 2.37% and the number of Internet of Things related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 4.61%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Internet of Things related jobs posted stood at 338, the average number of Internet of Things related jobs closed stood at 363 and the average number of active Internet of Things related jobs stood at 1,047.
