The number of active ESG related job postings in China driven by ESG decreased by 15.75% MoM, and decreased by 14.62% since October 2023, reaching 7,493 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,198 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.69% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,599 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 33.64% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 4.72% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 46.96%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 1.6%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 5.13% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 13.69%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 2,510, the average number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 2,866 and the average number of active ESG related jobs stood at 8,572.
