The number of active job postings in China decreased by 9.74% MoM, and decreased by 5.81% since October 2023, reaching 111,439 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 19,665 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 9.18% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 31,694 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 71.75% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted increased by 29.71% and the number of jobs closed increased by 98.65%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a growth rate of 9.06%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 1.97% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 25.71%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 19,383, number of jobs closed stood at 21,300 and number of active jobs stood at 118,372.
