Denmark and New Zealand had the highest score of 88 out of 100, followed by Finland, Switzerland, and Singapore with a score of 85 in 2020. Countries with the highest levels of corruption worldwide include Somalia and South Sudan with a score of 12 out of 100 in 2020.

Due to the difficulty in policing public officials in dispersed places, countries with a low population density and a large geographic areas are more susceptible to corruption.
