On the other hand, the month of June 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 5 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $116.8 million during that month.
Of the 41 deals, the deal secured between Alm Brand AS and Codan Forsikring AS, was the largest M&A deal in the Denmark, which was valued at $1,800.0 million and was completed on June 11, 2021. The second-largest deal was between GN Store Nord AS and SteelSeries ApS, while the third-largest deal was between Philip Morris International Inc and Fertin Pharma AS. The GN Store Nord AS-SteelSeries ApS deal and the Philip Morris International Inc-Fertin Pharma AS deal were valued at $1,247.8 million and $814.6 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Hamamatsu Photonics KK-NKT Photonics A/S valued at $215.9 million, whereas the deal between FMC Corp-BioPhero ApS valued at $200.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $4,278.3 million and accounted for nearly 72.46% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
