The number of active job postings in Ecuador decreased by 31.08% MoM, and decreased by 11.21% since October 2023, reaching 388 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 207 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 13.75% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 382 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 22.83% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 4.61% and the number of jobs closed increased by 95.9%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 1.56%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 3.89% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 25.12%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 266, number of jobs closed stood at 273 and number of active jobs stood at 505.
