In the LTM period, April 2022 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $56,608.7 million, resulting in an average deal value of $120.7 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of June 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 531 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $55.2 million during that month.
Of the 6,292 deals, the deal secured between Schemaquarantatre SPA and Atlantia SpA, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Europe region, which was valued at $39,545.7 million and was completed on April 14, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Market Bidco Limited and Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, while the third-largest deal was between Oppidum Bidco Limited and Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc. The Market Bidco Limited-Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc deal and the Oppidum Bidco Limited-Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc deal were valued at $13,339.6 million and $13,051.6 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Advent International Corp; Agnafit Bidco AB; Aurora Investment Pte Ltd; GIC Pte Ltd-Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB valued at $8,047.6 million, whereas the deal between 3G Capital Inc-Hunter Douglas NV valued at $7,100.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $81,084.6 million and accounted for nearly 19.18% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. The Europe region accounted for 24.10% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and accounted for 21.23% of the total deal size on a global scale.
