The number of active ESG related job postings in the Europe region driven by ESG decreased by 11.52% MoM, and decreased by 19.22% since October 2023, reaching 110,999 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 42,434 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 0.94% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 56,881 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 6.18% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 30.34% and the number of jobs closed decreased by 4.6%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 11.36%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 6.87% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a negative growth rate of 1.56%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 51,139, number of jobs closed stood at 57,416 and number of active jobs stood at 127,507.
