On the other hand, the month of April 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 9 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $172.2 million during that month.
Of the 76 deals, the deal secured between Bouygues SA and Equans, was the largest M&A deal in the France, which was valued at $8,200.1 million and was completed on November 6, 2021. The second-largest deal was between Xavier Niel and Iliad SA, while the third-largest deal was between Attestor Capital LLP; Pon Holdings BV; Volkswagen Group and Europcar Mobility Group SA. The Xavier Niel-Iliad SA deal and the Attestor Capital LLP; Pon Holdings BV; Volkswagen Group-Europcar Mobility Group SA deal were valued at $3,700.0 million and $3,400.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Embracer Group AB-Asmodee Group valued at $3,102.0 million, whereas the deal between La Banque Postale-CNP Assurances SA valued at $2,807.9 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $21,210.0 million and accounted for nearly 41.26% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
