On the other hand, the month of September 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 12 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $180.2 million during that month.
Of the 74 deals, the deal secured between Gem Global Yield Fund Inc. and Banzai International Inc, was the world's largest Equity Offering deal driven by Cloud, which was valued at $100.0 million and was completed on June 15, 2022. The second-largest deal was between Redstart Labs; The Goldman Sachs Group Inc and Wso2 Inc, while the third-largest deal was between Shanghai Bilibili Technology Co., Ltd and China Telecom Corp Ltd. The Redstart Labs; The Goldman Sachs Group Inc-Wso2 Inc deal and the Shanghai Bilibili Technology Co., Ltd-China Telecom Corp Ltd deal were valued at $93.0 million and $77.1 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between B. Riley Securities, Inc; BRC Partners Opportunity Fund LP; BRF Investments LLC; Neuberger Berman Investment Advisers LLC-Quantum Corp valued at $67.5 million, whereas the deal between Intesa Sanpaolo SpA-Thought Machine Group Ltd valued at $54.2 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $391.8 million and accounted for nearly 3.48% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 64.84% of the total Equity Offering deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $7,306.4 million, which accounted for 48.65% of the total deal size on a global scale.
