On the other hand, the month of June 2021 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 2,578 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $51.6 million during that month.
Of the 29,778 deals, the deal secured between Schemaquarantatre SPA and Atlantia SpA, was the world's largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal, which was valued at $39,545.7 million and was completed on April 14, 2022. The second-largest deal was between AustralianSuper Pty Ltd; Conyers Trust Company (Cayman) Limited; Global Infrastructure Management; IFM Investors Pty Ltd; QSuper Limited and Sydney Airport Holdings Limited, while the third-largest deal was between KKR & Co Inc and Ramsay Health Care Ltd. The AustralianSuper Pty Ltd; Conyers Trust Company (Cayman) Limited; Global Infrastructure Management; IFM Investors Pty Ltd; QSuper Limited-Sydney Airport Holdings Limited deal and the KKR & Co Inc-Ramsay Health Care Ltd deal were valued at $23,652.5 million and $17,004.8 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between Bain Capital LP; Hellman & Friedman LLC-athenahealth Inc valued at $17,000.0 million, whereas the deal between Evergreen Coast Capital; Vista Equity Partners Management LLC-Citrix Systems Inc valued at $16,500.0 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $113,703.0 million and accounted for nearly 6.45% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months. By region, North America accounted for 50.78% of the total Private Equity/Venture Financing deals done globally, and recorded a total deal value of $890,647.4 million, which accounted for 47.50% of the total deal size on a global scale.
