The third largest number of patents were published by LG Corp with 405,767 patents, of which 63.0% was contributed by its subsidiary LG Electronics Inc. The fourth largest number of patents were published by Canon Inc with 402,119 patents. The fifth largest number of patents were published by Hitachi Ltd with 392,321 patents.
The top five patent holders, i.e., Samsung Group, Panasonic Corp, LG Corp, Canon Inc, and Hitachi Ltd, together held 2,318,319 patents during the period.
