The number of active job postings in Guatemala decreased by 10.38% MoM, and decreased by 13.98% since October 2023, reaching 449 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 117 new jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 44.02% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 169 jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 15.5% fewer jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new jobs posted decreased by 37.77% and the number of jobs closed increased by 7.64%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 14.62%, the number of active job postings observed a negative growth rate of 4.9% and the number of jobs closed observed a growth rate of 2.49%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of jobs posted stood at 177, number of jobs closed stood at 188 and number of active jobs stood at 491.
