The number of active ESG related job postings in India driven by ESG decreased by 15.22% MoM, and decreased by 25.22% since October 2023, reaching 30,006 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 12,176 new ESG related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing a decrease of 10.83% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 17,564 ESG related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 0.37% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted decreased by 21.63% and the number of ESG related jobs closed increased by 21.47%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new ESG related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 7.8%, the number of active ESG related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 9.23% and the number of ESG related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 6.7%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of ESG related jobs posted stood at 14,117, the average number of ESG related jobs closed stood at 16,378 and the average number of active ESG related jobs stood at 36,191.
