In the LTM period, November 2021 turned out to be the most prolific in terms of deal size, with a total deal value of $1,073.8 million, resulting in an average deal value of $97.6 million during that month. On the other hand, the month of April 2022 was the most prolific in terms of deal volume, recording a total of 11 deals, resulting in an average deal value of $38.8 million during that month.
Of the 81 deals, the deal secured between CVC Capital Partners Asia V L.P and Try Group Co., Ltd, was the largest Private Equity/Venture Financing deal in the Japan, which was valued at $980.1 million and was completed on November 1, 2021. The second-largest deal was between The Saudi Public Investment Fund and Nexon Co Ltd, while the third-largest deal was between ACA Investments Pte., Ltd. and bitFlyer Inc. The The Saudi Public Investment Fund-Nexon Co Ltd deal and the ACA Investments Pte., Ltd.-bitFlyer Inc deal were valued at $883.0 million and $370.0 million, respectively. The fourth-largest deal was between The Saudi Public Investment Fund-Nexon Co Ltd valued at $202.5 million, whereas the deal between DCM Ventures; JAFCO Group Co Ltd; Pavilion Capital Pte Ltd; T. Rowe Price Group Inc-atama plus Inc valued at $46.5 million was the fifth-largest deal.
Cumulatively, the top five deals amounted to $2,482.1 million and accounted for nearly 84.54% of the total deals (by value) announced during the last twelve months.
