The number of active Technology related job postings in Malaysia driven by Technology decreased by 14.3% MoM, and decreased by 23.74% since October 2023, reaching 7,913 active job postings in January 2024.
A total of 2,166 new Technology related jobs were posted in January 2024, witnessing an increase of 6.02% as compared to the previous month. On the other hand, 3,486 Technology related jobs were closed in the same month implying that companies took out 17.29% more jobs than the month earlier. For the period from October 2023 to January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted decreased by 28.28% and the number of Technology related jobs closed increased by 30.27%
In terms of Compound Monthly Growth Rate (CMGR) between October 2023 and January 2024, the number of new Technology related jobs posted observed a negative growth rate of 10.49%, the number of active Technology related job postings observed a negative growth rate of 8.64% and the number of Technology related jobs closed observed a growth rate of 9.21%. Between October 2023 and January 2024, the average number of Technology related jobs posted stood at 2,469, the average number of Technology related jobs closed stood at 2,999 and the average number of active Technology related jobs stood at 9,421.
